Friends, Police Searching For Missing Newark Woman

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, at approximately 10:30 in the morning, New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Powderhorn Drive, in the community of Fox Chase, for the report of a missing person.

Officials said upon arrival, they learned that Elena Howell, 24,  was last seen at leaving this residence on foot at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018. When she left she made statements that caused a concern for her welfare, according to police.

Friends of Howell have been searching for her and trying to spread the word via social media. “Please help us find our girl!! … Please, we need help!!”, asked one friend in a message to First State Update.

Elena Howell is described as a black female, approximately 5’7” and 200 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes and a tattoo of a pumpkin on her left ankle and a tattoo of a Zelda character on her left forearm. She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, and jean jeggings.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Elena Howell to please contact New Castle County Police by dialing (302) 573-2800.
