Good Samaritans Step In After Capitol Trail Crash, One to Hospital

Newark –  At approximately 11:25 this morning New Castle County 911 dispatchers began receiving calls regarding a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Capitol Trail and Creekside Drive.

As crews from the Mill Creek Fire Company, Aetna Hose Hook, and Ladder, New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police responded to the scene they learned that good Samaritans on scene were providing medical care to the driver.

Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle into a guardrail and the patient in the care of the good Samaritans.  Crews continued to treat the patient on scene before transporting her to Christiana Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Fire Police restricted Capitol Trail to one lane while crews worked to treat the patient and investigate the crash.
