Happening Now: Two Vehicles Collide In New Castle Sending One Into A Home, Man To Trauma

New Castler – Rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) are responding to the unit block of Wedgefield Drive for reports residential structure fire as a result of vehicle into house.

Update: Upon arrival, crews are reporting a two vehicle crash with extensive damage to a home. Medics are evaluating one patient.

Update: Command has reduced the assignment to units on scene. No fire has been reported over the radio.

Update: Delmarva has been requested to the scene to remove two street lights that have been knocked down with an additional pole damaged.

Update: Trooper 4 has been recalled by New Castle County Paramedics on scene.

Update: Command has asked for a building inspector to respond to the scene.

Update: Patient has been extricated from the vehicle.

Update: Ambulance  crews from A-12, with NCC Paramedics accompanying will transport the patient to Christiana Hospital.

Update:  Medics are reporting that a man in his 60’s suffered a medical condition before flipping his vehicle into a home landing in the backyard.
