Happening Now: Crews Responding To Boat Accident Near Delaware City, Injuries Reported

Delaware City – Crews from the Delaware City Fire Company, along with Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) are responding to the Delaware River in the area of the C & D Canal for reports of a watercraft in distress.

Responding crews are reporting that two boats are up against the rocks along the north side of the canal.

Crews are reporting that three people are injured.

Three adults and 1 child are onboard.

Update 2:35 pm: Crews are transferring the injured patients to rescue boats. Ambulance crews are staging at the dock in Delaware City.

Update:2:55 pm: One patient will be transported to the hospital. All of the injuries suffered are non-life-threating.
