Police Surround Newark Neighborhood To Search For Suspect


Newark – At around 1:00 this afternoon New Castle County Police reportedly attempted to pull over a vehicle on Cobble Creek Curve, near Glasgow High School.

Early reports from the scene indicate that the driver fled from police on foot. Multiple officers have flooded into the area to assist in the search. At least three K-9 units are on scene.

Officers are telling neighbors that they are searching for a suspect that fled after a traffic stop.

Police are currently on scene at the Stones Throw Condominium complex, processing the vehicle for evidence.

It’s unclear if the suspect is in custody.
