Newark – Last evening, at approximately 8:40, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Interstate 95 and Christiana Road East Bound off ramp, for a motorcycle crash, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David McKinney, Jr.
McKinney said arriving County Paramedics found a motorcycle operator and lone occupant of the bike at the scene. The patient was ejected from her bike when the crash occurred and was thrown from the overpass onto the road below. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The patient, a 25-year-old female, was evaluated on scene for injuries to the face, arm, and pelvis. She was transported to the Emergency Department at Christiana Hospital on board a Christiana Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. Her condition was stable at the time of transport.
Delaware State Troopers were on scene and are investigating the crash.

Newark – The Delaware State Police are currently on scene of a serious crash involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 8:44 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2018, on DE 273 (Christiana Rd.) westbound, underneath I-95, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said as a result of the crash DE Rt. 273 westbound, as well as the I-95 southbound ramp to 273 westbound, are closed.
