New Castle County Police detectives have arrested 31-year-old Jason White for possession of heroin and other drug-related charges in the community of Swanwyck, according to police.
Officials said during the month of July, detectives from the New Castle County Police Drug Control Squad learned that Jason White was selling drugs from his residence in the unit block of Cross Avenue. Detectives established probable cause and a search warrant was granted for the search of the residence.
Thursday (August 16) detectives from the New Castle County Police Drug Control Squad and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) officers served the search warrant on Jason White’s residence. While detectives entered the residence, the defendant was attempting to gain access to the bathroom, however, he was prevented from doing so by assisting officers, according to police. Jason White was then taken into custody without further incident.
Police also located four adults and three juveniles in the residence.
Officials said they seized approximately 59.412 grams of heroin, 5.01 grams of methamphetamine, 41 Oxycodone pills, and 14 grams of marijuana.
Jason White was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin in a tier 4 quantity, felony possession of heroin in a tier 5 quantity, felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine in a tier 1 quantity, felony possession of Oxycodone in a tier 2 quantity, possession of marijuana-civil violation and 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $63,001.00 secured bond and issued a no contact order with juveniles in the residence.
