Centerville Road Closed After Car Slams Into Utility Pole In Greenville

Greenville – At around 9:30 this morning, rescue crews from the Cranston Heights Fire company, along with New Castle County Paramedics responded to Centerville Road and Barley Mill Road for a vehicle crash with entrapment.

Upon arrival, Deputy Chief Jordan Edgerton is reporting that wires were down on the vehicle and requested that Delmarva Power to respond to the scene.

Rescue crews could not get to the patient due to the live wires down on the vehicle.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the scene landed at the nearby Tatnall School’s football field.

At 9:51 Delmarva cut the power, allowing rescue crews access to the vehicle

Moments later Trooper 4 was recalled.

It’s not clear if the driver suffer any injuries

Centerville Road is closed between Hillside Road and Barley Mill as crews work to repair the pole.
