FBI, ATF, Bomb Squad Shut Down Faulkand Road Near Elsmere

Early this morning Faulkland Road between Oak Hill Drive and Village Road was shut down by authorities investigating an incident.

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, along with the New Castle County Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team, K-9 officers and an ambulance crew from the Elsmere Fire Company were on scene investigating.

It’s not clear what officials are investigating at this time. authorities have not released any details regarding the incident.

A funeral that was briefly stopped by the roadblock was able to reroute and enter the cemetery at a different entrance.

The road has been reopened.
