Massive Police Response To Reported Fight At Ogletown Skating Rink, Injuries Reported

Ogletown – Last night at around 9:00 p.m. police officers from across New Castle County responded to the Christiana Skating Center on Route 273 for reports of a fight in progress.

Police have yet to release any details regarding the incident, however, videos posted on social media show several people attacking a person inside the skating rink.

Additional reports indicated that one person was transported to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries, it’s not clear if this is the person that was attacked in the center.

Shortly after police responded to the fight at the skating rink, reports of another altercation at the Denny’s restaurant next door began coming in.

Several neighbors and readers have contacted us regarding social media rumors regarding the incident. We can not confirm any of the social media rumors at this time.

Police remained on scene late into the evening as they investigated.

At the same time that this incident was occurring, reports that a police officer was being transported to the hospital began coming in. Police have not confirmed that an officer was injured or transported. Additionally, it’s unclear if this is connected with the skating rink incident.
