Newark – Just after 8:00 this evening, rescue crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics responded to Otts Chapel Road at Welch Tract Road for a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, crews are reporting that the motorcycle was involved in a crash with an SUV.
The rider is en route to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center via ambulance with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying.
Troopers have not officially reported that the roadway will be closed, however, due to the seriousness of this accident drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
