Multiple People Shot In Mass Shooting Near Aberdeen Maryland

Update: Three people have been confirmed dead. Three others were wounded in Thursday’s incident.

The shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

She used a 9mm handgun and is a black woman from Baltimore.

Police have released her name, however, we have a policy of not naming mass shooting suspects.


Perryman, Maryland – Just after 9:00 this morning police officers from multiple police agencies, along with area rescue crews responded to the area Spesutia Road and Perryman Road, near Aberdeen, Maryland for reports of an active shooter.

Early reports indicate that multiple people have been shot at a Rite Aid warehouse distribution center.

Two of the shooting victims fled in a vehicle and were found suffering from gunshot wounds a few blocks from the facility.

Reports are that three people have been killed and multiple other victims have been transported to the trauma center.

The shooter is down with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Hartford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said the suspect is in custody in critical condition.

Radio reports indicate that the shooter is a black female.

At least one patient has been transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center in Stanton, Delaware.

FBI and ATF agents have also responded to the scene.

Officials are setting up a crisis counseling facility nearby.
