Police Make Arrest After Shooting In Wilmington, Victim Stable

Yesterday afternoon, September 04, 2018, at approximately 3:15, Wilmington Police responded to a residence in the unit block of 6th Avenue regarding a gunshot victim.

Upon arrival, officers located a 60-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

After further investigation by Wilmington Detectives, it was learned that an acquaintance of the victim, David Lumb, wm 57, shot the victim during an argument, according to police.

Lumb is currently in custody and being charged with Assault 1st Degree and weapons-related offenses.
