Police: Two Shot In The Back At Dover House Party

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people suffering from non-life- threatening injuries on Saturday morning, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 2:22 AM, officers responded to the Unit Block of Nicholas Drive for a report of shots fired. Officers learned that there was a large party at the residence and a large fight broke out in the front yard of the home. During that time, an unknown black male suspect fired multiple rounds into the crowd, said Hoffman. A 20-year-old woman and man were struck in the back and transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment for their injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
