Route 113, Other Roads In Lower Delaware Experiencing Heavy Flooding

The Delaware Department of Transportation is advising drivers that several roads across the state are now closed due to high water levels.

The list of closures is below the photos.

Milford – Not on DelDOT’s list is Route 113 near North Front Street. We’re getting reports that that area is experiencing water over the roadway.

TRAFFIC ALERT – DelDOT — Updated Road Conditions at 3 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018

The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that the following roads below in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties are closed due to high water on the roadway.
Once the water has receded to safe travel levels; the roadway will be reopened to motorists.

New Castle County
River Road between Washington Street and Aster Boulevard
Pyles Ford Road between Kennett Pike and Center Meeting Road

Kent County is experiencing tidal flooding at the following locations below. Barricades or water on the road signs are in place and will remain there throughout the night, due to the high tide that will affect Kent County.

SR 1 Northbound and Southbound left lanes closed at Bowers Beach Road
South Market Street, Frederica
Fork Landing Road between Carpenters Bridge Road and Rothermel Road
New Wharf Road between Big Stone Beach Road and Northeast 10th Street
Big Stone Beach Road between New Wharf Road
South Bowers Beach Road at Webbs Cut-Off
North Market Street, Frederica
Bowers Beach Road at Whitwells Delight Road
Cypress Branch Road between Evergreen Road and Ponderosa Road
Ponderosa Road between Cypress Branch Road and Plain Dealing Road
South Little Creek intersection at Route 9, Little Creek
Route 9 between South Little Creek Road and Lowe Street, Little Creek
Route 9 between the north end of Flemings Landing Road and Shorts Landing Road
SR 6/Woodland Beach Road between Lighthouse Road and Smyrna Landing Road
SR 42 at the Town of Leipsic
Woodland Beach Road, east of Route 9
Port Mahon Road from the fuel tank farm east.

Sussex County
River Road between Layton Davis Road and Oak Orchard Road
