Vehicle Into Family Dollar In Marydel, Possible Overdose Related

Marydel – Rescue crews with the Mardel Fire Company, along with Kent County Paramedics responded to 328 Halltown road for reports of a vehicle into the Family Dollar.

Upon arrival, crews found the driver with abnormal breathing and began life-saving measure. Trooper 4, already en route to the scene, was alerted that they would be utilized for transport.

Shortly after rescue crews administered NARCAN to the driver he became alert and started walking around, according to reports from the scene.

Trooper 4 was recalled. It’s not clear if the driver has been transported to the hospital.

No other injuries have been reported.

The condition of the building is unknown at this time.
