14-Year-Old Boy Struck By Vehicle While Riding Bike

North Star – On Friday afternoon, at approximately 4:50, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Hockessin Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Little Baltimore Road and Autumnwood Drive, for a pedestrian struck.

Arriving County Paramedics found a 14-year-old boy that was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle. The patient was evaluated on scene for injuries to the face, chest, arms, and legs. He was transported to the Emergency Department at AI DuPont Hospital for Children on board an ambulance from the Hockessin Fire Company, accompanied by a New Castle County Paramedic.

He was stable at the time of transport, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David McKinney, Jr.

Delaware State Troopers are investigating the crash.
