Gunfire Sends One To Trauma Center

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting, which occurred in the 100 block of E. 24th Streets at approximately 10:59 am yesterday, according to authorities.

Officials said upon their arrival, officers located a 31-year old male, who sustained a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated on scene and transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

“Wilmington Police are currently investigating a shooting, which occurred at approximately 10:59 am at 24th and Carter Streets.

This is an on-going investigation and further updates will be provided as they become available.”

Breaking Report

Wilmington -At around 11:00 am, this morning, Wilmington Police. along with medics responded to the area of 25th and Market Street for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, crews reported that one patient was found suffering from what appears to be bullet wounds.

The patient is currently en route to an area hospital’s trauma center.
