Troopers Id Suspects In Target Pepper Spray Robbery

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred at approximately 7:43 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2018, at the Target department store, located at 1050 Brandywine Parkway, Wilmington. The suspects loaded a shopping cart with merchandise and then proceeded to exit the store without rendering payment. When a store employee confronted them at the exit doors they pepper sprayed him and then fled into the parking lot.

The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Diamond Negron of Wilmington and a 17-year-old teen from Wilmington.

Both teens have active warrants out of Troop 1 for Robbery First Degree and Conspiracy Second Degree.

First State Update has a policy of not releasing the name of anyone under the age of 18.

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shoplifting that turned into a robbery after a store employee was pepper sprayed by the suspects, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.

Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 7:43, Monday night, October 15, 2018, at the Target department store, located at 1050 Brandywine Parkway, Wilmington. Two female suspects loaded a shopping cart with merchandise and then proceeded to exit the store without rendering payment, according to Austin. When a store employee confronted the pair at the exit doors they pepper sprayed him and then fled into the parking lot, said Austin. Due to the effects of the pepper spray the employee was unable to provide a mode or direction of travel. The employee was treated at an area hospital as a result of the incident. All merchandise was recovered.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1: Black female, 16-25 years of age, 5’2”, small build, wearing a denim jacket.

Suspect #2: Black female, 16-25 years of age, 5’6”, averaged build, wearing a black jacket.
