Troopers: Man Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Two Teens At Football Game

Camden-Wyoming- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Magnolia man after he inappropriately touched two juveniles, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Caesar Rodney High School homecoming football game located at 239 Old North Road. The School Resource Officer who was working at the football game was contacted by a parent who advised that her 16-year-old daughter had been inappropriately touched while she was standing in line at the snack bar, according to Jaffe. A short time later, a second parent informed the School Resource Officer that her 14-year-old daughter had also been inappropriately touched by the same suspect, said Jaffe.

Through investigative measures, Troopers were able to identify the suspect as 58-year-old Ricky D. Hardy. On Thursday, October 18, 2018, Hardy turned himself in at Troop 3 where he was charged with 2 counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact Second Degree, said Jaffe. Hardy has no affiliations with the Caesar Rodney High School, added Jaffe.

Hardy was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $10,000.00 unsecured bond. He was issued a no-contact order with anyone under the age of 18. He is also to have no contact within 100 yards of any elementary, intermediate or high school.
