Video – Trolley Square Fight Leads To Gunfire Overnight

Just after 1:00 this morning police officers from the Wilmington Police Department and New Castle County Police, along with Delaware State Troopers responded to Trolley Square for reports of shots fired.

As officers responded to the scene they were advised that between 200 and 300 people were near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and N Dupont Street and a fight was in progress.

The crowd was taking part in the Halloween Loop, a citywide party in which individuals pay a one-time cover charge to visit various nightspots throughout Wilmington, when the fight broke out.

Wilmington Police have not released any details regarding the incident, however, several partygoers captured the incident on their phones and posted the videos to social media.

The videos show several people fighting before security personnel flood into the scene to break it up. As security is separating the parties several gunshots can be heard.

Shortly after the gunfire, you hear someone yelling he’s got a gun right here repeatedly before a Wilmington Police Officer runs by the camera.
