Crews To Begin Prepping Rodney Dormitories For Demolition On Monday

Environmental remediation at the former UD Rodney dormitories in Newark is set to begin on Monday and should last until the end of February.

Plymouth Environmental Company, Inc, of Norristown, PA beat out four other companies vying for the contract.

Crews will remove asbestos, freon, PCB oil and other hazardous materials from the buildings.

The complex is set to be demolished to make way for a new stormwater pond.
