Regional Desk – Jefferson Township New Jersey Police have arrested a Lake Hopatcong woman after she struck two police patrol vehicles, according to Sergeant Joseph Kratzel.
Kratzel said on Thursday, November 29, 2018, Catherine Pansini, 34, of Lake Hopatcong was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving after striking two Jefferson Township Police Vehicles on Route 15 North with her 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
At approximately 10:30 last evening, the Jefferson Township Police received several 911 calls stating a vehicle was traveling south on Route 15 North, according to Kratzel.
Upon an officer’s arrival in the area, his vehicle was struck head-on, by Pansini’s vehicle, said Kratzel. She then continued traveling south on Route 15 North and then struck a second patrol vehicle, head-on, at which time it came to rest in the area of Route 15 North and Weldon Road.
Kratzel said that no injuries were reported.
Pansini was arrested and issued the following motor vehicle summons; Driving while intoxicated and related offenses, Careless Driving, Reckless Driving, Wrong-Way On One Way Street and various traffic violations
She was released pending a future court date.
