Young Woman Hospitalized After Being Shot While Lying In Bed

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday night in the 400 Block of Barrister Place that left a 20-year-old woman with a gunshot wound, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.
Hoffman said at approximately 8:03 evening, an unknown suspect fired multiple shots towards a home, striking a vehicle, front of the residence, and struck the female victim who was lying in bed on the 2nd floor of the home.

The victim was being treated at Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries as a result of the gunshot wound.
