Happening Now: Crews Responding To Serious Crash In Middletown, Four Ambulances En Route

Middletown – Rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, along with crews from Port Penn and New Castle County Paramedics are responding to Summit Bridge Road at Marl Pit Road for a vehicle crash with entrapment.

Early indications are that multiple people are injured.

Trooper 4, returning back to Summit Airport after from a similar accident in Newark this morning, was diverted to this crash and is the first to arrive on scene.

Update: Command is asking for four ambulances to respond to the scene.

Update: Two patients have been transported to the hospital. Trooper 4 was recalled.
