Update: Polly Drummond Hill Road Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Newark – Just before 4:30 this afternoon, rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company was dispatched to the intersection of Polly Drummond Hill Road and Old Coach Road for a motor vehicle collision.

Upon his arrival, Chief Andrew Bowerson advised dispatch that one patient was trapped and requested New Castle County Paramedics and a total of three ambulances. Once the patient was extricated he was transported to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton in serious condition, with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying.

Two additional patients were transported to Christiana Hospital by ambulance.

The Delaware State Police are handling the investigation and Chief Bowerson had Newark Command.

Breaking Report

Newark – Rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, under the Command of Chief Andrew Bowerson, are currently working to extricate a patient from a vehicle on Polly Drummond Hill Road.

At 4:21 crews were dispatched to the intersection of Polly Drummond Hill Road at Old Coach Road for a highspeed motor vehicle accident.

Crews from the New Castle County Paramedics are currently on scene as well.

Chief Bowerson has ordered the road closed.

Seek alternate routes.

Update: One patient has been removed from the vehicle and is en route to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton in serious condition.
