On January 22, 2019, New Castle County Paramedics and members of the Odessa and Townsend Fire Companies responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle located at Bayview Road and DuPont Parkway, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal Ruoy L. Koontz.
Koontz said on arrival, one patient, a 28-year-old male was found with a possible head injury, as well as, noted lower extremities injuries. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County EMS and later transported to Christiana emergency room in stable condition by Delaware State Police aviation, Trooper 4. Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incident.

Middletown – Rescue crews from the Odessa Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 are responding to Route 13 at Bayview Road, just south of Pole Bridge Road for a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Update: Trooper 4 is about to touch down in the SB lanes of Route 13.
Update: Trooper 4 is transporting one patient to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
Southbound lanes of Route 13 remains closed as crews work to clear the scene.
