Just In: One Trapped After Route 896 Crash In Newark

Newark – Just after 2:30 this afternoon rescue crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook, and Ladder, Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police responded to South College Avenue at Winson Way, near Four Seasons, for reports a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

Upon arrival, Command ordered the road closed as crews worked to extricate the patient. After working for about ten minutes, crews were able to free the patient and ready them for transport.

The patient was then transported to Christiana Hospital with undetermined injuries.
