Police: Baptist Church Burglarized In Dover

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Second Baptist Church, located at 407 W. Loockerman Street, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said the incident occurred between 7:00PM on January 21st, and 7:00AM on January 22nd. During this time, an unknown suspect forced entry into the church by prying open a front door latch. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed several tool boxes from a maintenance room. The suspect(s) then forced entry to another section of the building and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, a computer, speakers, and a television, said Hoffman.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.
