Wilmington – The Delaware State Police have arrested Mark D. Goldberg, 57, of Wilmington, in connection with the robbery of a Fairfax area shoe store that occurred Friday afternoon, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said at approximately 2:50 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019, Troopers were dispatched to the Payless shoe store located at 2105 Concord Pike, in reference to a robbery. The first Trooper arrived on scene within three minutes and was able to confirm that a white male suspect, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with the hood pulled up over his head, and a navy colored wool coat, approached an employee at the sales counter, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash, according to Austin.
