Triple Shooting Sends Three To Hospital On Saturday

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, at approximately 7:29 pm, Wilmington Police responded to the 600 block of W. 37th Street reference a shooting.

Upon arrival, they located a 19-year old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was treated on scene and was transported to a hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Minutes later, police were summoned for a second victim, who was located in the 600 block of Lea Blvd. Upon arrival, they located a 17-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower extremities. He was treated on scene and was transported to the hospital where he was treated, then released.

Soon thereafter, police were summoned to the 2500 block of West Street for a third victim. When officers arrived they located a 17-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. He was treated on scene and was transported to the hospital where he was treated, then released.

Police said that all three were originally shot in the 3700 block of N. Van Buren Street. Officials did not release details regarding the incident itself.

Breaking Rreport

Just before 7:30 last evening, Saturday, January 26, 2019, Wilmington Police Officers and rescue crews responded to the 600 block of West 37th for reports of a shooting.

Upon their arrival in the area, crews reportedly found two patients suffering from gunshot wounds, one with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, the other with a wound in the arm.

Additional crews also responded a couple of blocks away to the 600 block of W Lea Blvd. where they reportedly located a patient suffering from wounds to the lower extremities.

All three patients were rushed to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.
