Troopers Offer Reward In Dover Homicide

Dover– The Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate a homicide in which a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on January 5, 2019, at approximately 5:57 p.m. when Troopers were dispatched to the 200 block of Kentwood Drive, Kentwood Mobile Home Park for a report of a home invasion and shooting. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 30-year-old male had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim, 30-year-old Jesse Stanford of Cambridge, Maryland later succumb to his injuries.

The case continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit. Crimestoppers is offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest. Dover – The Delaware State Police are releasing the name of the victim who was involved in the shooting during the reported home invasion at Kentwood Mobile Home Park as 30-year-old Jesse Stanford of Cambridge, Maryland.

The incident occurred on January 5, 2019, at approximately 5:57 p.m. when Troopers were dispatched to the 200 block of Kentwood Drive, Kentwood Mobile Home Park for a report of a home invasion and shooting, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 30-year-old male had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Further investigation revealed that two unknown suspects had entered the residence. Upon the victim being shot, both suspects fled the scene, said Jaffe. There were two other adult individuals in the residence during this incident. Both individuals were not injured.

The suspects fled the residence without obtaining any property, said Jaffe.

Stanford was transported to a local area hospital in serious condition where he succumbed to his injuries last evening.
