Delaware Air National Guard Officially Welcomed Home On Sunday

More than 200 members from the Delaware Air National Guard’s 166th Airlift Wing were welcomed home at a homecoming ceremony held on Sunday, February 10, at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark.

These Citizen Airmen from 10 different units were mobilized to multiple areas in Southwest Asia and throughout the globe in support of the war on terrorism and returned to Delaware by the end of 2018.

One of the units, the 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, flew over 180 medical evacuation missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, including 65 combat-injury medevac requests.
