Just In: Troopers Investigating Shots Fired In Stanton

Stanton – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in the early morning hours at a local bar.

On February 28, 2019, at approximately 1:27 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the Bank Shots Bar located at 106 Main Street, Stanton for a shots fired incident that followed an altercation that occurred inside the bar, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said tt was determined that multiple fights occurred both inside and outside of the establishment where two black females were involved. After a fight outside was broken up, one of the female suspects retrieved a gun from the trunk of her car after an employee locked the females out of the bar. However, both females eventually made their way back in when another patron unlocked the door to exit, according to Bratz.

After making entry into the bar the suspects got into another fight and was broken up and sent outside. Bratz said once outside one of the female suspects fired multiple rounds toward the bar which struck the building. No patrons or employees were struck and there were no reports of injury as a result of this incident.

Two black female suspects and a white male fled in a Nissan Altima or Maxima, eastbound on Route 4.
