Newark Police Reminds Public To Be Aware After Suspicious Vehicle Incidents

Over the past two nights, Newark Police have received two separate reports of a black Nissan Rogue, with a temporary New Jersey tag, driving on East Cleveland Avenue and stopping and asking females to get into the vehicle. The driver was a thin male, possibly in his 40’s, with black hair.

In one case, the vehicle followed the women and continually asked them to get into the vehicle and then drove forward and again waited for the women to walk in his direction.

Newark Police have no evidence that any crimes were committed in these cases.

The Newark Police remind members of the public to be aware of their surroundings, do not walk alone and to call 911 immediately to report suspicious or criminal activity.
