Police: Suspect Released On Own Recognizance Charged With Two More Burglaries

The Dover Police Department arrested Kerry Pinkard (56) on burglary charges after he broke into a Rent-A-Center store on Saturday night, according to Dover Police.

Officials said at approximately 10:35 PM, officers responded to the business for a glass break alarm and observed Pinkard slowing from a jog in the area.

Officers contacted Pinkard and observed that he had fresh cuts on his hands and wrists from broken glass at the scene, police said. It was determined that rocks were used to break a glass window. Once inside, he caused damage to a laptop computer before fleeing, police said.

Pinkard was also charged with burglary and related offenses in connection with a Burglary at Oreck Vacuum that occurred on March 14th, 2019.

Pinkard had been previously charged with burglaries that occurred at US GAS and Metro PCS on February 26th and was released on an O.R. bond.

Police did not say if Pinkard is still in custody or if he has been released.
