Troopers: Victim Assaulted During Rehoboth Beach Robbery, Suspect Charged

The Delaware State Police have arrested 29-year-old Christopher Boone, of Rehoboth Beach who was wanted in connection with a robbery, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on March 1, 2019, at approximately 4:59 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Pebble Road, Rehoboth Beach for a report of a robbery of a 23-year-old male victim. During the robbery, the victim was assaulted and his property was stolen, according to Jaffe. The victim’s cellphone and money are listed as the stolen items. The victim was transported by EMS to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On March 11, 2019, Troopers observed Boone traveling in a vehicle in the town limits of Milford. A traffic stop was conducted and Boone was taken into custody without incident. He was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:

Robbery 1st Degree
Assault 1st Degree
Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
Conspiracy 2nd Degree

Boone was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $72,000 secured bond.
