Four Sent To Area Hospitals After Serious Crash In Wilmington

Four people were sent to area hospitals last evening as a result of a serious crash at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Jackson Street in Wilmington.

At around 11:30 last evening Tuesday, April 2, 2019, rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department, New Castle County Paramedics and Wilmington Police responded to the intersection for reports a vehicle accident with a subject trapped.

Crews worked for several minutes to extricate at least one patient. A total of four patients were transported to two area hospitals as a result of the accident.

Crews on scene also reported that a traffic signal was heavily damaged during the crash.
