Man Charged With Robbing Dover Convenience Store At Knifepoint

The Dover Police Department arrested 39-year-old Bryan Neal on robbery charges after a robbery of the 7-11 store on N. DuPont Highway Tuesday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said Neal entered the 7-11 business at approximately 11:32 pm and displayed a knife, demanding money. Neal fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and four packs of cigarettes, Hoffman said.

A short time later, patrol units checking the area, located Neal in the area of Nimitz Drive and Miller Drive. He attempted to flee from officers, but did give up and was taken into custody without incident, said Hoffman.

Neal was committed to SCI on the following charges:
-Robbery 1st Degree
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited
-Resisting Arrest
