Police: Maryland Man Charged With Assault, Strangulation Of Girlfriend

Seaford- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Federalsburg, Maryland man after he physically assaulted his girlfriend, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on March 30, 2019, at approximately 9:04 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to Cinnamons bar located at 606 Bridgeville Highway in Seaford for a report of a physical assault. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a female victim who sustained apparent facial injuries.

The victim was able to get away and enter the bar to seek assistance.

The victim, a 37-year-old female from Maryland, was transported to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where she was treated with non-life threatening injuries.
