The Delaware State Police are on scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer that occurred at approximately 11:41 a.m. today, on SR 41 northbound and SR 48. As a result SR 41 is closed off due to the overturned tractor trailer.
The road will be closed off for an extended period of time due to crews removing the load from the trailer and wrecker crew towing the tractor-trailer.
Troopers said the preliminary investigation has determined the operator was driving at an unsafe speed and losing control while making a left turn. The operator of the Tractor Trailer has been removed from the scene and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Northbound traffic is being diverted to Lovebille Road.

Hockessin – Rescue crews from the Hockessin, Cranston Heights and Belvedere Fire Companies, New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 are responding to Lancaster Pike at Newport Gap Pike for an over tractor-trailer.
Early reports indicated that one person was trapped and the truck was on fire.
Update: Crews have arrived on scene. Hockessin Command is reporting one patient will be transported.
Update: Trooper 4 and all other responding ambulance crews have been recalled.
Update: Hockessin Command is reporting 75 gallons of fuel has spilled on the ground.
UpdateL Fire police have been requested. Looks like this intersection will be shut down for some time.
This is a similar accident that occurred at that location in 2017.
