Update: Command Has Ordered An Evacuation Of Hockessin House Fire

Hockessin – Firefighters from across New Castle County and Chester County Pennsylvania are responding to the 100 block of Chandler Lane for reports of a house fire.

New Castle County Police on scene are reporting that the garage is fully engulfed with fire.

Upon arrival, crews reported fire showing.

Command has ordered a tanker task force to respond to the scene for water supply.

A search of the home has concluded with no occupants found inside.

Command has struck a second alarm.

Update 1:57: Command has ordered all firefighters to evacuate the home.

Update 1:57: An additional tanker task force has been requested to the scene.

Update: 2:30 It’s believed that the bulk of the fire has been knocked down. Fire Marshals are investigating in the garage.

Update: 2:52: Command has placed the scene under control.
