Milford Police Detectives (MPD) are currently investigating a serious assault that occurred between 1:00 and 2:00 this morning, Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the parking lot of Perdue Farms in Milford, according to MPD Spokesman Detective Timothy Maloney.
Maloney said officers responded to the factory’s parking lot after receiving a call that the victim had been seriously assaulted by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment and is listed in stable condition.
Maloney did not comment on the nature of the victim’s injuries, however, First State Update has confirmed that the victim is a woman and she suffered multiple stab wounds to her face, hands, neck, and her thigh.
Just after 7:00 this morning the woman was transferred by air to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.

Milford – Just before 2:00 this morning rescue crews from the Carlisle Fire Company and Kent County Medics, along with local police responded to a business parking lot on N Rehoboth Blvd. for reports of a stabbing. We are withholding the exact location pending confirmation from the Milford Police Department.
A spokesman with the Milford Police Department (MPD) has confirmed that they have an ongoing investigation into an assault at the location. We are expecting a press release from MPD shortly.
A woman was later transported from the area to Bay Health Sussex suffering from multiple stab wounds to her face, hands, and leg, according to early reports.
Just after 7:00 this morning the woman was transferred by air to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.
The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
