Happening Now: Rescue Crews Responding To Two Accidents With Persons Reported Trapped

Rescue crews have responded to two separate crashes involving reported entrapment.

Crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder responded to the 500 block of Capitol Trail for reports of a crash with a subject reportedly trapped.

Within minutes of arrival, command placed this scene under control and recalled Trooper 4.

Newark Police have closed the road and is asking for tow trucks for two vehicles.

Crews from the Odessa Fire Company has responded to the Route 1 SB off ramp at Pole Bridge Road for a crash involving one patient that is reportedly trapped.

Crews are reporting the patient has a head injury.

Trooper 4 has been diverted to this accident and will be utilized for transport.

Update 4:45 pm: The patient is en route to the Trauma Center after being trapped for more than 30 minutes.

Reports from the scene indicate that the car left the roadway, knocked down signs and possible hit a tree.
