Police: Man Prohibited From Possessing Firearm Charged In Dover Night Club Shooting

The Dover Police Department has arrested Naquan Ingram (35) for the June 2nd shooting that occurred at Allure Night Club, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said Ingram was identified by officers who obtained video surveillance from the area where the incident occurred. Ingram was arrested without incident at the Dover Probation and Parole office by the U.S. Marshal’s First State Fugitive Task Force on June 6th, 2019 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $174,000 cash bond on  charges of Assault 1st Degree, Reckless Endangering 1st Degree, Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony, Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited and Illegal Gang Participation.

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 38-year-old male injured as he was leaving the Allure Night Club Parking Lot, 865 N. DuPont Highway, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said Dover Police were notified by staff at a nearby hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived by private vehicle to the emergency room.

Officers learned that as the victim was leaving Allure Night Club Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at 1:57 AM, he observed a group of people arguing, and heard gunfire.

At that time, the victim was struck in the upper torso and was then transported to the hospital by a friend. The victim’s injuries were considered non-life threatening.
