Police: Stolen Gun, 1,287 Bags Of Heroin Found In Dover Man’s Residence

The Dover Police Department arrested Dover resident, Sencier Mansfield, 19, on drug and weapons charges, according to Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at 12:28 PM officers from the Dover Police Department were assisting Delaware Probation and Parole with a home visit at Mansfield’s residence in the unit block of North Kirkwood Street in Dover and based on information discovered at that time, obtained a search warrant for the home.

The search warrant led to the discovery of a stolen 9mm and .40 caliber handgun, according to Hoffman. Officers also located approximately 1,287 bags of heroin during the search, added Hoffman.

As a result of the arrest, Mansfield was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $237,500 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony (2x)
-Possession of Ammunition by Person Prohibited (5x)
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession of Heroin
-Receiving Stolen Firearm
-Illegal Gang Participation
-Drug Paraphernalia
