Wye Mills, Maryland -Rescue crews from the Queen Anne-Hillsboro, Queenstown, and Cordova Fire Companies, and area medics along with Maryland State Police Aviation Trooper 6 have responded to US 50 WB just past Skipton Road for reports if a multi-vehicle accident with injuries.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:15. Reports from the scene indicate that multiple people have been injured.
US 50 is closed in both directions.
Update: Trooper 6 is in the and en route to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Update: Multiple patients have been evaluated.
Update: 10 people involved were evaluated. One person was flown to the trauma center, one person suffered neck and back injuries and the remainder were walking wounded, according to reports. Command asked for a total of three to five ambulances in addition to the medics that were on scene.
