The Dover Police Department has arrested 32-year-old Simone Fassett in connection with a Vehicular Homicide that occurred on Friday, July 19th. according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.
Hoffman said at approximately 9:02PM, Fassett struck Antron Raisin (35) and another male victim with a 2009 Nissan Murano following a dispute between both victim’s and Fassett’s boyfriend, Andre Singletary. During the dispute, Singletary had also displayed a large knife and threatened one of the victims, according to Hoffman.
Hoffman said Fassett then struck both victim’s with her vehicle and fled the scene.
Antron Raisin later succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. The second victim, in this case, was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives located the vehicle on July 20th, 2019 at a family member’s residence in Rock Hall, Maryland and arrested Simone Fassett without incident.
Andre Singletary was also arrested for his role in the dispute without incident.
Simone Fassett was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in default of $20,000 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Vehicular Homicide 2nd Degree
-Assault 2nd Degree
Andre Singletary was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $35,000 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Aggravated Menacing
-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree
-Possession of Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited
