The Delaware Blue Coats, NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, announced its schedule for the 2019-20 NBA G League regular season yesterday. The Blue Coats are set to host its home opener at 76ers Fieldhouse (401 Garasches Lane, Wilmington, Delaware) against the Maine Red Claws on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The opening night contest is one of 16 regular-season weekend games (six Fridays, nine Saturdays, one Sunday) that the Blue Coats are slated to play at home.

Delaware will play a 50-game schedule with 24 home games, 24 road games and two games at the annual NBA G League Winter Showcase. Location and dates for the Showcase games will be announced at a later date.

Leading the Blue Coats on the court at 76ers Fieldhouse will be Philadelphia 76ers two-way contract players Norvel Pelle and Marial Shayok. In 36 games for the Blue Coats last season, Pelle averaged 11.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks (second in the G League) in 22.8 minutes per game. Following the season, Pelle was named to the 2018-19 G League All-Defensive Team and finished third in the voting for both G League Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player. Shayok was selected by the 76ers with the No. 54 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft after leading Iowa State in scoring as a senior with 18.7 points per game. The Ottawa native played his first three collegiate seasons at the University of Virginia before transferring to Iowa State.
