Man Sought In Newark Student Housing Incident

On August 24, 2019, at about 4:02 in the afternoon, Newark Police was dispatched to the Off-Campus Student Housing apartment building, located at one Easton Court, for a report of a criminal mischief incident, according to Lt Andrew Rubin.

Rubin said arriving officers found that the glass to the front door of the building had been shattered.

Surveillance video showed a white male wearing a black and red baseball hat, sleeveless St. Louis Cardinals Wainwright shirt, gray shorts, and gray shoes. This male attempted to enter the building. When he was unsuccessful, he kicked the door multiple times, shattering the glass, according to Rubin.

Anyone who knows the identity of this suspect is asked to call Cpl. R. Martin at (302) 366-7100 x. 3470 or [email protected].
